Acceleration Class
Ages 14-18
From Learner to Builder. From Code to Capability.
Your teen doesn’t need more “schoolwork.” They need a challenge. A coach. A place where they can stretch, build, and belong.
The Acceleration track is where bright, curious teens stop just learning to code and start engineering real things. Whether they’re dreaming of launching an app, mentoring younger students, or building a portfolio that actually means something, this is the space where they rise into their potential—with support, structure, and purpose.
Philosophy: “To build the future, you have to understand the present.”
We treat them like builders. Because they already are.
Too many programs teach outdated skills—or skip the why entirely. We don’t do that.
Acceleration isn’t about memorizing more syntax. It’s about helping students understand how systems work, how teams collaborate, and how real developers navigate ambiguity, ethics, and complexity. It’s about preparing teens to step into a future that doesn’t even exist yet—with the confidence to create, lead, and adapt.
What Your Teen Will Learn
- Team practices: Version control, sprint planning, code reviews, estimating
- Systems thinking: How components interact, what breaks, how to debug
- Code architecture: Clean design, scalability, modularity, design patterns
- Advanced software building: Full projects using modern frameworks
- Capstone project: A final passion-based build that gets real feedback
Sample Projects Include:
- Multiplayer game or simulation using real-time logic
- Portfolio site with dynamic content and backend integration
- Tools like habit trackers, flashcard generators, or automation scripts
- A fully functioning website using html, css, and javascript
They don’t just follow tutorials. They scope, design, build, refactor, and present—just like real devs do.
